My wife Jeanne and I would like to exchange our flat and Infiniti I30 sedan near San Francisco, California for a 2 bedroom home in a "museum" city for 2 or 3 weeks. An Auto would be a good bonus for us.
A couple of adult relatives may want to join us if there is room for them.
We have had several successful exchanges. We want to visit Paris, Rome, Florence, London or Netherlands cities again some day. Madrid, Vienna, and Venice are also very interesting. In the US we are interested in Boston, Washington DC and Seattle.
We also want to exchange for weekends in California.
Our home is 12 miles east of San Francisco, across the bay in the University town of Berkeley. Our Homelink listing is #US17730.
The center of San Francisco is half an hour by commute train or auto, and the famous "wine-country" of Napa and Sonoma is one hour North by auto.
You can drive to the National Parks of Yosemite and Kings Canyon (for the Giant Sequoia trees) or the Redwood Parks of the north coast for an overnight visit.
Other over-night trips are to Monterey and the beautiful ocean scenery of Big Sur and Coast Redwoods, or to Gold country, Lake Tahoe and the high Sierra mountains.
Our remodeled flat has a 2 bedrooms with double beds, 2 full bathrooms, a large, modern kitchen, a dining room with a fireplace, a living room, and two decks overlooking the back garden. We have all the modern appliances, including a microwave, dishwasher, and clothes washer and dryer. Our fenced back garden has a lawn,flowering plants, and and swings for children. It is visited by squirrels, birds and butterflies, as well as the 2 children who live upstairs, age 13 and 10 in 2010.
Asian, Latin American, Tropical and European fresh fruits and vegetables are sold at farmers’ markets every week 5 blocks away. Prices are also good at the Berkeley Bowl, a nearby store where we shop.
Our cat goes in and out her own door, and our neighbors will feed her when needed.
